What is Pilates?

Pilates is a series of exercises that together build strength and flexibility.  The exercises were originally developed by Joseph Pilates, who called the collection of exercises Contrology, referring to the level of control and concentration required in executing each movement. Modern day Pilates consists of a repertoire of over 500 exercises to be done on a mat or on one of the many pieces of equipment Joseph invented.

Each participant undertakes their own individual customised program.  An initial assessment session examines your posture, muscle balance, strength and flexibility.  The maximum group size is 3
