If you are strapped for time or want to make the most out of your workout by engaging a number of muscles whilst getting your heart rate up then Dumbbell Thrusters are the perfect exercise to include in your workouts.

It is a challenging multi joint exercise that targets legs, shoulders and arms. Think burn fat and get fit faster.

 

How to perform Dumbbell Thrusters

  •  Stand upright with feet shoulder width apart.
  • Place dumbbells on your shoulders.
  • Whilst keeping the dumbbells on your shoulders squat down.
  • Keep weight in your heels and maintain a neutral spine during the squat.
  • Press the dumbbells up as you come to standing.
  • Exhale as you come up.
  • Fully extend the arms at the top and use the legs to drive the dumbbells to a press.

Common errors

Rounding the back.

Not fully extending the arms.
