About Amy Jaya

Amy has been involved in the fitness industry for over ten years.  She is a highly skilled and experienced personal trainer and group presenter and facilitator.  Her expertise covers a number of disciplines specialising in Pilates, Yoga, Cycle and Personal Training. Amy’s training philosophy is based on functional movement, corrective posture and holistic health and wellbeing.  Amy brings cutting edge training techniques and the latest research to all her work and has a disciplined, passionate and highlighting motivating approach. Amy works with clients to deliver sustainable, life long results.

Amy is a much sought after national and international Cycle and Pilates presenter and is a lecturer in Certificate III in Fitness – Group Exercise module.  Amy was instrumental in developing comprehensive instructor cycle training manuals and DVDs.  Amy is the author of Indoor Cycle Fundamentals published in 2009 and her latest DVD ‘Pilates For Real Bodies’ in 2010.  Amy also has experience in managing fitness centres and working as a club co-ordinator.  Through her ‘Pilates For Real Bodies Teacher Training’ Amy coaches and mentors students in Pilates at her studio in Brighton.  She aspires to instil solid teaching foundations and functional Pilates training at the grass roots level.

  • Group Exercise - Body Pump,Power Bar, Boxing and Swiss Ball

Amy also holds a B.A. Arts in Journalism and Human Resource Management from Deakin Universtiy, Melbourne and currently studying towards her postgraduate qualification in Human Nutrition also through Deakin University, Melbourne.  Amy has worked as a journalist and news reporter both in radio and print media for over five years in South East Asia.
